Excursion to high-mountainous Adjara: Goderdzi pass, Cable car, Green Lake – this is a unique one-day tour from Batumi for lovers of heights.
What Adjara is famous for is its mighty mountains and coniferous forests. Some 70 km from Batumi and you find yourself in the high-mountainous village of Khulo, surrounded by alpine meadows. It is famous not only for its breathtaking landscapes, a museum and the Skhalta church. The visiting card is a unique cable car without a single pillar, which was created to transport people from Khulo to the village of Tago on the opposite peak. It is over 30 years old! The length of the road is almost 2 kilometers, the height is over 300 meters. The booth offers a breathtaking view of the gorge. You will appreciate what you have seen if you decide to ride it))) But this is not the end of the journey, and we have to climb into the alpine zone to the Goderdzi Pass, which is located at an altitude of 2025 meters above sea level.
If you walk a little, you will see the incredibly beautiful Green Lake. The reservoir of volcanic origin has a special composition of water, which explains its rich emerald green color. The bottom is rocky, depth 16-18 m.
